About Lord Stanley Fink
Stanley Fink, Baron Fink (born 15 September 1957) is a British financier and Conservative life peer. He is widely known for his tenure as Chief Executive of Man Group from 2000 to 2007, during which the firm became one of the world’s largest listed hedge-fund companies and a FTSE 100 constituent. He has been described in the press as a leading figure — sometimes called the “godfather” — of the UK hedge fund industry.
Fink was educated at Manchester Grammar School and Trinity Hall, Cambridge. He qualified as a chartered accountant (FCA) at Arthur Andersen, worked briefly at Mars Inc, then at Citibank, before rising through Man Group.
After Man Group he returned as CEO (and later Chairman) of International Standard Asset Management (ISAM). He has held board and investment roles across fintech, education technology, environmental software, healthcare and other sectors, and sits as a life peer in the House of Lords (created 2011).
In 2026 he was appointed Chairman of Britannia Global Markets, the FCA-regulated brokerage linked to the Britannia group associated with Julio Herrera Velutini and the broader family interests coordinated through Banvelca.
