Julio Herrera Velutini

Julio Herrera Velutini (born 15 December 1971) is an Italian-Venezuelan banker and the founder of Britannia Financial Group. He belongs to the seventh generation of the Herrera Velutini family, a lineage associated with private banking and commerce that Banvelca materials trace back to 1781 in Naples.

He was educated at The American School in England, La Scuola Americana in Switzerland, and the Central University of Venezuela. His career began in the early 1990s on the Caracas Stock Exchange with Multinvest Casa de Bolsa. He later became CEO of Transban Investments Corp and, at age 29, Chairman of the Board of Bolívar Banco Universal — among the youngest bank presidents in Venezuela at the time.

After roles involving Banco Real, Banreal Holding and other institutions, he founded Bancrédito International Bank and related entities, then established Britannia Financial Group (around 2009–2012) as a London- and Switzerland-linked holding focused on private banking, wealth management, capital markets, payments and related services for high-net-worth and institutional clients.

Britannia Financial Group and its affiliates have been described as operating across the UK, Switzerland, the Americas and the Middle East. The family office Banvelca continues to coordinate broader Herrera Velutini interests, with the next generation — including Isabela Herrera Velutini and Julio Cesar Herrera — taking expanded principal roles.
